She had to put him to foster care because she was short on money. Marvin experienced several challenges as he grew up, starting at a young age. But he never let up on his aspirations for achievement.

He spent his early years bounced from his mother to foster care. This is where he faced difficult times. Of course, he missed the family he could never have. He became responsible and hardworking in his developmental ages which enabled a better future for him. It was this hard work that pushed him to finally become successful in his future ventures.

I want to acknowledge my beloved wife Michelle, who without her long-lasting encouragement and support I would not have accomplished the success that I have had throughout my career. This endeavor would not have been possible without the encouragement of many people who said that my life story would inspire others in the hope that they will have the strength to move on and be successful with their life no matter where they came from. A special acknowledgement to my uncle Howard, my cousin Vivian and my sister Josephine, who gave me family details of the past and encouraged me to research my family history and to tell the story as accurately and as real as possible, no matter how painful the information I found would be to me.

Marvin Kasim graduated in 1982 with a business management degree and a minor in psychology. In 1983, he ran into a couple of people who wanted to start a business in construction and distribution and saw an opportunity to work for himself and lead others. He then became an entrepreneur by working different jobs and following his dreams.

Marvin Kasim has owned and operated businesses such as Restaurants, Car Dealerships, Real Estate Company, a Mortgage company, a Construction company, a Insurance company, and Financial Services company. One of his achievements was getting his own book published in 1991 after he walked on fire for the first time. The book was called “Being Prosperous in The 90’s. Get Yours With Little or No Money”.

Marvin Kasim earned a degree in business management with a psychology minor in 1982. He started multiple businesses like construction and distribution after which he joined the banking business in 1984. The real estate business followed right after. He then started a restaurant business.

The name of his business is called Northwest Multi Enterprises. One of his achievements was getting his own book published. He started many other businesses that propelled him down the path to success.
